We’re pleased to announce that David Cross has been appointed the Commercial Manager at iPort Rail – working across the industry to show how this new facility can help freight forwarders and others across the industry make their supply chains more effective.

David has spent over 30 years in the logistics sector, both in the UK and overseas. Starting his career as a management trainee for British Rail, he went on to land a role with Overseas Containers Limited (OCL) which took him to South Africa, Dubai and Singapore and required him to lead on marketing and development for P&O Ferries’ Freight in the Far East.

After 10 years with the intermodal arm of Deutsche Bahn, David now specialises in the delivery of inland rail terminal developments. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics (CILT).
